Child Safeguarding Policy

Introduction:

Swim Mechanix Australia is a child related organisation that takes child safety and protection seriously.  We consider a child’s wellbeing to include the care of the child, the physical, emotional, psychological, and educational development of the child, the physical, emotional, and psychological health of the child and the safety of the child.

Swim Mechanix Australia respects the wishes of parents and carers when protective or custodial orders are in place – please get in touch to provide information if it is relevant – this can also be updated in the Student Information in your private and confidential account.​

Phone Use + Photography & Videography:​​

  • Photography including that from mobile phones, laptops, or any other image capturing device is NOT permitted without seeking the permission of the Swim School Coordinator.

  • Photographs should be of your child only, and no other child should be included without the expressed permission from the guardian.

  • Photographs of Swim Mechanix Australia Staff is NOT permitted.

  • Videography of your child, other children, classes or staff members is NOT permitted at any time.

  • Use of mobile phones in the changerooms is NOT permitted.

Supervision:

All minors under the age of 12 must be supervised by a responsible adult while attending Swim Mechanix Australia locations before, during and after swimming lessons including in changerooms. All equipment and facilities are used at your own risk.

​

It is recommended that children do not play on school equipment as this is not part of our lease agreement with the Education Department and therefore does not fall under the Duty of Care.
